First round of the Lloyd Invitational to be played Sat. at 2:45.

Holmes is coming off an 18 point win over Bryan Station.

Seneca is a darkhorse in the 7th region and comes in to this game 5-4 and off a loss to Apollo.

Common Opponent: Ballard

Holmes 45 Ballard 42

Ballard 83 Seneca 67

I expect Holmes to put up a lot of points on the board and win this one by around 20.

Thoughts?

I would agree with with Eta on this one!

Seneca looks to be very dangerous in the 7th and has some quality players in McElwain, Nance, Maddox but doesn't appear to have played well together as of yet.

They are Very athletic but Holmes size will hurt them.

If it happens to be close late, they bring good pressure so Eta, you have to take care of the ball.

No one in starting five is over 6'2. Pittman:scared:

Nance plays a lot bigger. Can jump well. he's physical, and has long arms so not as easy to post as it may seem.

I was thinking more about rebounds and put backs for Pittman.

Seneca has a few 6'4 kids in McWhorter, Gentry, and 6'3 Jacobs, but all 3 will have trouble guarding Pittman and should have trouble rebounding over him. Pittman dominated the 6'11 kid from Bryan Station.

Expect to see Pittman get a few dunks in this one.
