Final from the Hoopin' it up Classic...

Good win. The Hounds will be fine as soon as the learn to bring their A game every time the hit the hardwood.

Congrats Corbin

Didn't get to this one, I guess it was a good bounce back win, I read this was the sixth lose in a row for Bulter, so IMO Corbin should have won, and they did. Who and when do they play next?

Corbin will play North Laurel at 4:45 tomorrow at North.

Thanks, should be a good one, North catches them at a good time, after a win! Really I think Corbin wins this one by 10 or more.

Corbin does have a nice team. Big, strong and physical and they jumped on Butler early but it would have been very tough for Butler to win with a 54-5 free throw discrepancy, and a 35-13 difference in foul calls.

I was not there, listened to much of the game on the radio and the announcer said that Butler was fouling too much, although those numbers are a little on the ridiculous side if accurate. Butler's pressing and trapping style would lead to some fouling as well as Corbin pounding it inside to Crawford and Manns, but I could see how it would be a little hard to swallow.

Butler's record is not indicative of how good a team they are, if you look at their schedule you won't see any easy games on it.

Butler has played a very tough schedule. Try playing against them when you don't get the fouls called. They are not an easy out....good bounce back win for Corbin.

It was a good game. You're right Corbin should have won, but look at Butler's schedule and you'll see that while they are having a hard time pulling in the wins right now their competition has been very tough.

You're exactly right the game was a hack-fest and the only solution Butler had for Manns and Crawford was to foul them. If you look at the stats you'll see that they took the majority of Corbin's free throws.
