UC 85 EKU 77 OT

Alvin is sick and Biggie and Steve had no chance guarding their "bigs" on the perimeter. The 6 guys that needed to be on the floor to win the game got the clock...

What about Wilks?

What about Wilks?

He couldn't contribute anything against their D when he was in. Thought he could have maybe played a little more, but don't have a problem with the rotation Mick used in the 2nd half...

I thought EKU's coach made an absolute critical coaching error by calling timeout after making the second free throw. Why do you allow UC to set up a play with 4.6 seconds left, with UC out of timeouts?

In addition, UC had just called their last timeout before the foul shots.

It doesn't make any sense, why allow them to run a set out of a timeout when you have them up against it with time and score.

I could buy calling a TO after making the first and then possibly missing the second and designing something defensive wise.

You don't give a team time to set something up.

Didn't see how EKU defended it because it was the 2008 version of the "Heidi Game", but I am a big fan of a 2-2-1 full court to force UC to drive against pressure and limit long passing lanes...

Give UC credit for executing...but you don't give them time to set personnel and a play.

W/o a great play by UC at the end of regulation and a very tough 3 towars the end of regualtion it would have been another terrible day for the Big East. This comeback, Syracuse, and the UConn game helped the conference a bit though.

GT did they really get that play ran in just over 4 seconds? Basically I'm asking if the clock started a tad late?

Talent wise, I think the six he played he decided were his top six players. They have been the six that have been in on UC's critical runs as of late. Dixon really has stepped it up in every aspect of his game too.

The D EKU used allowed the play to get off in time. Vaughn was face guarded, so the inbounds went to Dixon and Vaughn sprinted to half court. Dixon hit him with a perfect pass and in four dribbles Vaughn was in the lane. Plenty of time to execute a perfect play call...

I saw the replay, but I didn't pay attention to the clock. Great call.
