December 17, 200817 yr From my experience as a former employee of an airline, you won't get compensated for any act of mother nature. Most of the time you won't even get a refund for a cancelled flight. The airlines aren't nearly as generous in today's economy. True, but I have to say last Wednesday when we were flying to NY, we had a connection flight in Chicago. Due to bad weather they cancelled the flight and put us on a later one. 30 min after putting us on that flight, they called us back and had us on a direct flight to Ny from CVG. Can't beat that. We Chose connection flights to save us money so we got a pretty good deal on the way there.

December 17, 200817 yr Btw Mrs.FF how are you feeling? Thanks for asking....much better. I felt awful that night, couldn't even enjoy a 5 star meal made by my cousin who is a gourmet chef. It must have been a bug. I have to admit, I am glad we didn't get up early and head into the rain to go to GMA, b/c that episode wasn't very good.
December 17, 200817 yr Just watched the view and they had an expert on traveling on the show and he said the worst airport to go to was O'Hare. Due to major delays, bad weather and airlines being late there. Go figure.

December 18, 200817 yr I agree about O'Hare, chances are if you fly out of there more than once you will probably sit through a few delays and/or cancellations.
