ScarHeel Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Since you have to be an "insider" to see the picks past #10, here is how nbadraft.net sees it... http://www.nbadraft.net/nba_mock_drafts/8516 Not sure why Rubio is not on there but he is on the 2010 mock draft.
BoondockSaint Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 That could be weird if the Raptors drafted both Clark and Williams.
HammerTime Posted December 16, 2008 Author Posted December 16, 2008 I think Rubio will end up going #1 unless that team has one of the star PGs in league.
ColonelCrazy Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 I think Rubio will end up going #1 unless that team has one of the star PGs in league. I don't know much about Rubio, but Blake Griffin has been a beast this year. I think he's the early favorite. I'm shocked to see Stephen Curry so high. I think he'll get drafted, but I'd be surprised if it was in the lottery. He is lights out, but he can't do much else. I think he's very comparable to Chris Lofton in the sense that he doesn't have an NBA position other than PG. Curry may be a guy who would benefit from jumping to the NBA early. As of right now, he's seen as a kid who can shoot it. If he's still seen as a "kid" as a senior, I think that could hurt his stock.
MJAlltheWay24 Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 I think a decent amount will change between now and the draft...it's super early for this mock draft.

If he was able to be drafted last year he would have been a lottery pick. He tore up any and everyone who tried to guard him in the Olympics. He is the most NBA ready player IMO. Griffin is a stud but I don't ever see him being more than a 20 and 10 guy and not that thats bad but Rubio is a franchise player.
HammerTime Posted December 17, 2008 Author Posted December 17, 2008 He throws some pretty sick passes in this video...
HammerTime Posted December 17, 2008 Author Posted December 17, 2008 They say Jennings is struggling a little bit over there, that will be interesting to how his draft stock plays out.
gametime Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 They say Jennings is struggling a little bit over there, that will be interesting to how his draft stock plays out. He might not be a 1st rounder by draft day. Not sold on Holiday and DeRozan. Mid first rounders IMO...
HammerTime Posted December 17, 2008 Author Posted December 17, 2008 Yeah I don't see it in Holiday right now but at lot of season left.
gametime Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Yeah I don't see it in Holiday right now but at lot of season left. Felt the same in the 2 summers I saw him play AAU. He's going to take some time to develop IMO...
ColonelCrazy Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 It will be interesting to see how the NBA reacts to Jennings' play in Europe. I love the NBA draft.
HammerTime Posted December 17, 2008 Author Posted December 17, 2008 (edited) It will be interesting to see how the NBA reacts to Jennings' play in Europe. I love the NBA draft. Well they may not like that its taking some of their players but lets be honest the best ball is played over here. Why do you think guys like Rubio, Dirk, Manu, and the Gasol brother came here? The NBA gets to see if Jennings really has what it takes right now and its pretty obvious he doesn't. Edited December 17, 2008 by HammerTime

Why do you think guys like Rubio, Dirk, Manu, and the Gasol brother came here? The NBA gets to see if Jennings really has what it takes right now and its pretty obvious he doesn't, he even had some of Rubio's playing time because he has been out with a broken wrist. I don't know how they'll react. They would no have no reason to hold a grudge against him, since he was not eligible for the NBA draft anyway. It's not like he snubbed them. I guess he could have played in the D-league, though. I wonder how the European teams compare to the elite D-1 college teams.
