Zach Smith had 29 for South.

Not much of a rivalry game it looks from the score

South leads the overall series, 40-7.

Smith had 29 points and 12 rebounds. He was da man for the Cardinals tonight. He plays with such intensity. He carried the Cards tonight. GREAT performance.

SL did a good job in limiting Seidel to very few touches. Held him to 19 points which is very impressive. NL outrebounded SL 19-12 in the first half with 10 of those being offensive rebounds. SL hit the glass much harder in the 2nd half and limited NL's 2nd chance opportunities.

It was actually about a 3-8 point game for most of the contest. Smith hit 14 FTs in the 2nd half alone. SL hit their FTs down the stretch and made the spread larger than it really was. It was actually a very tight game until midway thru the 4th quarter.

I don't know much about Smith, must be one heck of a player, what grade is he in? South can never be counted out no matter what they lose, they truely reload.

Smith is a senior.

He started last year. South returns 4 kids who were starters at some point last year in St. John, Smith, Gilbert and Watkins. They should be rated anywhere from #1 to #3 in the region this year.

The Smith kid is avery good athlete who goes hard until the final horn.
