So, my job sucks. My manager is completely oblivious to peoples needs. For example, one day I'll work six days, and other weeks, like this week, I'm only scheduled THREE DAYS...I have to find another job. :irked:

Stay positive nothing good ever came from negativity. Trust me I am currently interviewing and left a horrid job where negativity was breeding like cockroaches. You will never be able to focus and find a good fit if you stay there and remain negative. Good luck !!!

I have been laid off for 7 weeks now and after putting out 150 resumes I have quit counting. I let those around me I can not do Christmas this year. I used the money I had saved up for the state finals for bills.

 

Bottom line do not quit the current job until you find a new one.

Aw, are you a student? I'll be honest, I hate work period. I'm that bratty girl who wishes she could do nothing but live off her parents forever and do nothing but go to school and focus on that, but unfortunately I DO have to work lol. If you're looking for steady hours, guaranteed, go for a bank job. I work for a bank and I am guaranteed my 25 if not more hours a week, almost a steady schedule too [every monday and thursday and sunday] and i get paid great. I've been there three years.

 

The key is to find a job with stability, a job that will promise you the hours. Like when they say they will "hire you for 20 hours".

I've heard bank jobs are nice. Im looking for something more along the lines of 40 hours/wk, though.

I don't know . My son an attorney married a young lady 3 years ago that he met online when he was in college the result is my granddaughter ( my avatar ) . My daughter an RN got married a month ago to a great guy that she met online two years ago while she was in college . You must not be in the right chat rooms .
