Final.

Wow.

Not overly surprised by this one.

LadyBirds also won the frosh and JV games. New name on the horizon is 8th grader Leah Schafer. Starting JV and getting quality minutes with the varsity. The girl can flat out play.

Too tell the truth this girl is only the age of an 7th grade student. Because of academics she was moved up. If things continue to go the correct way, could be a good red shirt frosh at the next level.

Is this the same girl that played in the 5th and 6th grade league at Turners last year? Interesting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thought the Birds played okay for the first outing. Struggled a little offensively or this game would have been a 60 point blowout. Just curious to see how the team chemistry plays out as some younger kids see minutes over some upper classmen. I understand that there are two other 8th graders on the roster. Are they going to be seeing varsity minutes as well?

Does the Frosh class not have any players worthy of dressing/seeing varsity minutes?

Similar to the Adler girl. She "should" be a Junior but she was moved up a grade in school as well.

Schaefer is an 8th grader, and by all appearances, she is 1st of the bench. She can play any position on the court. Ava Abner will not see as much time as the guard position is real deep. But she will see some time which is great for an 8th grader.

Athletism and depth too much for Brossart on that evening.

Highlands has the most talent top to bottom. They really can play 10-11 players and not drop off much.

They has a couple of JV players that look good also. These two (# 25 & # 35) would get varsity minutes on most other teams.
