December 26, 200817 yr Who is your all's favorite band/singer? Modest Mouse for me, is that weird?? Honestly, the only person that ever comes to mind when people ask me this question is Louie Armstrong. Especially when you look at his probably most famous song, What A Wonderful World, and you think about the time period in which he wrote it. Was during the 60's, during the Civil Rights movement. A black man was able to write that song. WOW, I envy him for that, especially if you know the lyrics. "I see friends shaking hands, saying how do you do, I hear baby's cry, we watch them grow, they'll know much more, than we all know, and I think to myself, what a wonderful world", just some powerful powerful words.

Ha I always get ripped on for listening to that song. Its amazing though.

Hate to burst your bubble bro but I don't think Armstrong wrote that song.
December 26, 200817 yr This year, you can't forget about Jose Calderon (Raptors), Chris Duhon (Knicks/terrible team but the dude is 4th in APG this season) and Jason Kidd. Or are 1 or 2 of them shooting guards?
December 26, 200817 yr Hate to burst your bubble bro but I don't think Armstrong wrote that song. Even if he didn't write it, he had that "nerve" for lack of better words, to sing it and become famous because of it during that time period. That's inspirational and I don't care what anyone says.

December 26, 200817 yr Well this is a terrible way to end my Christmas. I think I have the flu or some kind of virus. Ever since I got home from my cousins house tonight I've had horrible shivers and have been "getting sick" to put it politely. I'm way to miserable to sleep right now.
December 26, 200817 yr Ha I always get ripped on for listening to that song. Its amazing though. Got it on my MP3 player which I only use at the gym, I don't listen to it every time it comes on, but it's a great change of pace.

December 26, 200817 yr :thumb: I'll give you that for sure. How could you not jk, but yea seriously, I think if more people knew and actually thought about the times in which he became famous for that song, I really don't see how anything else comes close. I have his greatest hits CD, and honestly he has alot of good songs on there. If you've never heard alot of his work, download some of his stuff, especially stuff from his greatest hits. You listen to that on a nice spring after noon, you'll feel like a million bucks if you just listen to the words and go with it.
