New Xbox Dashboard

Hmmm I want to figure this out.

Oh and yea what's the point in downloading the game and playing it from the hard drive? Is it just supposed to play better?

Load times are less, the game runs smoother, and the xbox runs a lot quieter and it also saves the disc from bearing any kind of damage.

I can't wait till the Primetime avatar games come out at the beginning of next year.

You would happen to know anything about the DVR stuff too would you?

There's a video on the new dashboard that talks about it.

Part of the whole having to create an avatar was for more than just show. The Primetime games were delayed but will feature games such as "1 vs 100" where you can take your avatar into a game against other people and their avatars and compete for prizes that will be handed out by microsoft. I don't know the whole list of games yet but I do know that the one is a big one that they were promoting.

I'm not sure...I haven't heard anything about it.

It says on Halo when you first start playing it you shouldn't download it to the Hard Drive and the game is meant to be played with a disc.

Hmmm, I dunno about that game but most other games seem to be fine with being downloaded to the hard drive.

Just starting my new experience. Just started it up, and the intro was pretty cool coming through my surround sound.

I am trying to sign up the Netflix stuff and I am not sure I am doing it right.

Ok I got it figured out now. The movie selection isn't all that great but I bet it will get better. It's pretty cool.

How much did it cost you?

You have the wrong idea...

It downloads the game to your hard drive but you still have to have the disc in your xbox to play it. There is an initial spin on the disc to make sure it's a legal copy, after that it doesn't use the disc to play the game but you still have to have it in the tray...

Trust me Microsoft thought about this well before they put this out there.

I know this now  I was hoping we could rip Microsoft off for a change.
