November 14, 200817 yr Author Hard decision between Slaton and Johnson, but I think I would lean towards Johnson since his team is built on the running game. So I think I'd play CJ/LT. Johnson is playing. The only question is between LenDale White/LT/Steve Slaton. Debating between Cooley and Scaife at TE also.
November 14, 200817 yr Author I would play LT and Slaton. I really think you'll win this week. I expect Manning and Boldin (combined with Watson's game of the year) to score enough to beat me. That's just been my luck this year and I don't expect it to change now. I can't help but hold out that for that glimmer of hope though.
November 14, 200817 yr Author ^I'm hoping. If I could somehow close with 3 wins and make the playoffs, I have some sweet matchups for the first two rounds. Week 14 Roethlisberger (vs. Dal) Moss (@ Sea) LT (vs. Oak) Johnson, White & Titans D (vs. Cle) Week 15 Moss (@ Oak) LT (@ KC) Johnson, White (@ Hou) About as good as you could hope for RB matchups. Gotta get there first though... I have visions of squeaking into the playoffs at 6-7, then riding an LT resurgence against weak defenses for a couple of wins.
November 15, 200817 yr Listened to the Guru tonight on Sirus, and a guy called stating he would start Ricky Williams over LT, I almost ran into the guardrail after hearing that. I know that LT hasn't been the 30 TD guy like in the past but no way I ever sit the guy, when you have the #1 pick in the draft, he plays. You would kick yourself in the rear if he rips it up.
November 15, 200817 yr I basically have to win my last three games to make the playoffs in my league...which two RB's would you play? After my recent trade, here's what I've got right now. LaDainian Tomlinson (@ Pittsburgh) Steve Slaton (@ Indianapolis) Chris Johnson (@ Jacksonville) LenDale White (@ Jacksonville) Also, at TE...Chris Cooley (vs. Dallas) or Bo Scaife (@ Jacksonville)? And finally, at QB...Ben Roethlisberger (vs. San Diego) or Chad Pennington (vs. Oakland)? I also have Kyle Orton right now, but I don't think I'll play him until I see what he can do. Well, what the heck...one more...would you play Jerricho Cotchery (@ New England) or Braylon Edwards (@ Buffalo)? Cotchery has been banged up and has done next to nothing the last few weeks, and Edwards has struggled all year. Edwards obviously has the higher upside, but with Quinn's dink and dunk style, I don't like his odds. Cotchery scares me because he isn't 100%, but the Pats secondary is a huge weakness and the game will likely be competitive for 4 quarters, meaning he should get his chances. What do you think? I can't advise you to sit LT against anyone. I mean, that's why you drafted him that high. I also don't think I'd play Slaton as his coach believes he has hit the rookie wall and is limiting his carries as a result. So I think I'd go LT & Chris Johnson

I also don't think I'd play Slaton as his coach believes he has hit the rookie wall and is limiting his carries as a result. So I think I'd go LT & Chris Johnson I didn't draft LT...I traded for him this week because I had a surplus of RB's that I couldn't play. I packaged a few of them up and got LT in the hopes that he could return to form down the stretch and allow me to make a run at a playoff berth. I'm going with this lineup... QB - Ben Roethlisberger WR - Randy Moss, DeSean Jackson (picked him up yesterday) RB - LT, Chris Johnson TE - Chris Cooley K - John Carney D/ST - Tennessee Titans Just gotta hope for a little luck...which is something I haven't had yet this fantasy season.
November 17, 200817 yr Author I would play LT and Slaton. I really think you'll win this week. Good call. Although I didn't play Slaton. It wouldn't have mattered anway as I once against faced the highest scorer for the week.
