November 7, 200817 yr Woodyard just made one heck of a play, taking on a block and stopping Lewis for no gaing.
November 7, 200817 yr Author They invested some nice change in Anderson so they couldn't just bench him. Looks like Winslow is a favorite of Brady's, K2 may put up some very nice second half numbers. If I'm not mistaken that invested a lot of money into Quinn well before people even knew who Derek Anderson was.
November 7, 200817 yr Quinn looks great completing 10 in a row but the Broncos defense is horrible! Woodyard has been their heart and soul thus far. I just got up in J. Lewis grill:)
November 7, 200817 yr If I'm not mistaken that invested a lot of money into Quinn well before people even knew who Derek Anderson was. Plain and simple Anderson' play last year saved a lot of coaches etc job. They couldn't just let him go so they worked out a contract that protected them for half year to see what they had in him. The higher ups let Romeo know that it was time for a change this week vs a bad Denver defense.
November 7, 200817 yr Author Yeah the Denver defense is really bad but Quinn still has to throw it to the WR's...They have really been in sync for the most part of the game..Quinn only had 2 days to prepare for this game also.

I'm pretty sure he was a restricted free agent, and they could have got something for him..After going 10-6 and having Quinn as the backup they could have sold high on Anderson, filled a void in either the draft or by getting someone out of a trade then they would have had Quinn from the start of the season... Now they are stuck with Anderson and his salary...It was a dumb move by the Browns to keep him, should have sold high...plain and simple.

November 7, 200817 yr Author Hindsight is always 100% I'm not basing it on 3 quarters of a game he has played....If you look at Anderson's stats he began to struggle in the last 4 games the Browns played last season...Like I said they should have sold high instead of investing that much money into two QB's, now they are stuck as long as Quinn produces... It's not hindsight, it's common sense.
November 7, 200817 yr Author Sv, your Brownies are looking pretty good with Brenda Quinn at the helm. As long as he keeps throwing the ball like he is I don't care what his name is!
November 7, 200817 yr As long as he keeps throwing the ball like he is I don't care what his name is!  You really can't expect him to keep this up all year...but very impressive thus far. I just love seeing them beating the crap out of the Broncos.

I'm sure he won't..and I'm sure he'll struggle, but at least he'll have some confidence going into the MNF game against the Bills.
