They should all be the same. The price should be the same set up by the khassa.

I thought it was split between the two participating schools in the postseason? I do think there needs to be some uniformity throughout the state for playoff games. If anything you would have some idea as to what you would be paying to attend a road game.

That's not as common around here as it is in other places.

I know in Jefferson County regular season tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for children...I believe that playoffs tickets may go up to $7...I think the KHSAA gives a recommendation as to how much to charge but it is really up to the two teams playing. If a team were to play their games at say Papa Johns Cardinal Stadium they usually charge alittle more to cover the cost of facility rental.

As far as my understanding, the gate money first goes towards paying game workers (officials, ticket people, police, EMT, etc.), then it goes towards paying for a portion of the visiting team's travel, and then it is split between the two teams.

1) The first and more commonly used method is to simply split the gate receipts after the payment of the trophy bill

and the cost of officials. In addition, for the fourth round, many schools agree to allow a fixed rate mileage

allowance prior to making this division of the gate. This encourages the visiting team to minimize the travel

expenses and the home team to control game costs and eliminates the perception of inflated costs by either the

traveling team or home management.

2) The second method is a split of the gate after agreed expenses, which would involve:

• Allow for the cost of the trophies and the game officials’

• Determine and agree in advance on the expenses of the home team for staging the game including

charges for police and security, ticket sellers and takers, P.A. announcer, dressing room attendants,

parking, ushers, statistics, etc.;

• Determine and agree in advance on the expense allowance for the visiting team for mileage, meals

and lodging if applicable. If no other agreement can be reached, using the state expense allowance is

recommended;

• Split the balance between the two teams after payment for the three items listed above

Another reason I'm thankful Trinity gets to stay at home for three rounds. There were no tickets available at Trinity for games @Dunbar, @Seneca, @Eastern or @ Butler. It's been a nightmare through the years at various venues. The worst may have been at Clark County in 1991.

 

Ohio forces neutral sites with tickets equally split after their first round games. I believe the first round must also split the tickets available.

With one game on tv live I am staying home watching it. Now if Newark Catholic would have made the playoffs I would have forked over the nine bucks plus parking to watch them.

 

I think the price is high especially when it is now double the price of some D-3 College football tickets cost.
