For Garrard to become a better team/program, they have to tackle better. This has been a problem since Perry/Hester left. I see signs of improvement, but there is still a ways to go.

 

Alas, a trip to Breathitt County beckons in three weeks. The Lions have never been to Jackson and this likely won't be a memorable trip, but we'll see! Nobody expected Garrard to win at Newport in 1999.:thumb:

 

Channing Fugate is a monster... if Garrard wants to stand a chance not only had they better tackle, but the need to tackle low and hard.

 

Breathitt is a fun place to watch a game, but be arwaned that the visitng bleachers are very small and if it rains that week you better wear a pair of old shoes that you are not afraid of getting muddy.

The bad habits are arm tackling, improper tackling technique and not keeping their feet moving on contact

 

What exactly has the present coaching staff been doing since July? 3 months is more than enough time to teach proper tackling technique and to keep your feet moving on contact. It isn't rocket science.

Offensive LIne coach, I do not know if he had ever called any plays.

 

They should still know how to tackle. You can not blame poor tackling in late October on the last coach who has been gone since early Feb.
