Who is walking the hallway at BC that could make a difference on this team?

That would be the million dollar question and I just don't think Boyd has the talent right now to really compete. It seems like they have had outstanding individual players here and there over the last few years, but never really good "teams".

I didn't live in Kentucky when Ashland/Boyd Co had all their infamous wars in Districts and Regionals, but I'm aware of the history. Would be nice if Boyd can become competitive again.

Rebound4e seems to think that there are some really good freshman...

After watching the Red/White game, Wooten is playing an exiciting form of basketball that quite frankly isn't suited for all players. But you can see that he is getting everything he can out of what he has got.

You let them get a year or two under their belt. Alot of points from downtown were scored by sophomores and freshman in the red/white game. I think it will be a long year for BC this year. Seems as though kids are more interested in playing video games, or other things than playing sports. Is it failure by the administration to get them out or is it up to the coaches? My thought is that the since of pride and being part of a winning tradition should be all you need at BC. I know looking around in the stands, the turn out has also declined. In order to win you have to be competitive. The last few years Boyd has not been competitive, even with Selby last year. The last year they were competitive was when Antonio was there, and even he was rediculed for being a standout. BC needs to regroup and revive the winning tradition from past years.

Actually the year after Antonio had a better season, 3 players averaged over 13 pts. a game, the last BC team to make it to Morehead in about the last 10 years, and had an 11pt. lead over Elliott Co. in a 1st round matchup. Had a legit chance to win each night out.

Thats true.......wasnt that the same year that you and I defended our tag team titles against those boys from LA? (Lower Ashland)

Well one thing about it bobbyearl BC wont haft to worry about a kid like Antonio or any other kids that are not home grown boys anymore. Time to see what the home grown boys can do.:D

How did Boyd do in their scrimmage with Sheldon Clark?

Boyd County was leading 51-43 at the end of the first half. Then they reset the scoreboard and played a JV game. It seems like Boyd is going to put up a lot of points this year.

Boyd Co. played a very good scrimmage Saturday morning, Gindlesburger was on fire early into the game. While senior Wes Steele lead the lions though out the whole game. Coach Dave Wooten will work his boys hard this week to get them ready for their panaroma on Saturday evening. :fight:

Boyd County should have some football players joining them this week. It will be interesting to see who else is at the panorama this weekend!! I wonder if the big 6'8 kid that plays football will be able to fit into the system that coach Wooten has installed?

Where is the panaroma this weekend and at what times.
