Music Trivia Question

Yup. Both were nailed in rather high-profile sampling/copyright cases where they were forced to pay royalties to other artists, setting precedents that still stand today.

What do John Lennon, The Righteous Brothers and The Ramones have in common?

And please, no cheating. :D

Yeah I had to straight up cheat.

I know this one though.

Phil Spector

Correct. Who sampled both Led Zeppelin and Johnny Cash?

De La Soul "3 feet high and rising"

The only hip-hop album I own.

Wasn't George sued for "My Sweet Lord" sounding like "He's So Fine" by The Chiffons?

This high-selling musical artist (a top 15 selling musical artist in the United States) attended college of a Javelin scholarship, eventually quitting the sport but graduating with a degree in advertising. Any guesses?

This is gonna be someone totally different than what we'd expect. I can feel it.

That is correct.

De La Soul "3 feet high and rising"

Incorrect. It was like "3 Feet" in that it was a big crossover pop hit, however.

As recognized by the RIAA (which has tracked record sales since 1952), out of the top 100 selling artists in the United States, all of the artists hail from a total of 6 countries. Two of them are the United States and the United Kingdom.

Can you name the other 4 countries which boast some top-selling U.S. Artists? And if you can, can you name the artists from those countries?

For the record, two of the countries have 1 performer/group, one country has 2 performers/groups, and the other country has 3 performers/group.
