Schedule for Combined 9th & 10th Regional

Featured Replies

This coming season, the boys' 9th & 10th Region tournaments will both be held at the new Bank of Kentucky Center (The BKC) on the campus of NKU. Both regional finals will be held back to back on March 10, 2009. The girls' 9th Region tournament will also be held during this same exciting week. It should make for quite a spectacular for fans from both regions. Here is the (boys') schedule:

March 4 & 5 (Wed. & Thurs.) - 9th Region quarterfinals

March 7 (Sat.) - 10th Region quarterfinals

March 8 (Sun.) - 9th Region semifinals

March 9 (Mon.) - 10th Region semifinals

March 10 (Tues.) - 9th & 10 Region finals

Are the games back to back or split sessions?
It didn't say. But on some of the days, there will also be girls' 9th Region games going on.

That has to tick off Montgomery Co.

Why?

Montgomery Co. spent presumably millions to build an arena, in part, to get the boys 10th region out of Mason Co. every year. It's been finished for what, one season and they're moving to NKU...

I think Montgomery just wanted to be part of a rotation. That has been accomplished.

Each district gets to vote where to host when it's their turn. Now that there are options other than the fieldhouse the tournament will move almost every year.

As far as I know each day is its own session. This would mean that one ticket is good for whatever number of games there are each day.

And to answer anyone's question about concessions...the prices will be the same for any event that is held there at The Bank of Kentucky Center.

No clearing the gym for the next game...:ylsuper:

Which is good IMO. Will draw bigger crowds.

I wonder if that means you get the 9th Region girls' final game as part of the March 7 session as well.

(The girls' quarterfinals will be on March 2 & 3, while their semifinals will be on March 6.)

I will check on that and get back with everyone. I hope to be working all of these games during the nine day span, which would be 21 games in that amount of time.

I feel a nine day long BGP event in the future. LOL.
