Souths defense, and special teams looked alot better friday night, but their offense didn't look sharp. If they can get on the same page Friday night it could be a good game. South35 , Mercer 21.

No one in that district is playing much defense this year, it seems all high scoreing games. This one won't be any different. It should be a similiar game to the South Laurel and Southwestern game. While Mercer is the clear favorite, my gut tells me an upset could be in the making.

I agree. The key to beating Mercer is the passing game because you are not going to beat them with the run. Heck, Shayne Boyd could throw for 300 yards against Mercer's pass defense!:eek:

I would have to give the advantage to Mercer if it rains. They do have a terrific run defense.

Mark Clontz is out for the season, he's been the starting Center for SLHS the past 2 yrs, also was a all-district performer last season as a Junior.

South Laurel can win this football game if the OC will take some chances Friday night. IMHO SLHS has been playing not to lose, let's play to win on Friday.
