HDE
Does this cause a three-way tie? If so, what's the tie-breaker look like?
Sons of Troy
Taylor is at 3-1 right now with Jackson Co. remaining on the sched. Somerset is 2-1 right now with Jackson and Casey Cos remaining Wayne is 3-1 right now with Garrard remaining Garrard is 1-2 with Casey and Garrard remaining. One would expect Taylor to finish up in the dist. at 4-1 Somerset should also finish up 4-1 The big game is the Wayne/Garrard game IF Wayne wins they finish 4-1 with a 3 way tie for 1st and Garrard 4th. IF Garrard wins Wayne will end up at 3-2 along with Garrard at 3-2 also. The top two would be Somerset and Taylor at 4-1. This, of course is assuming that Jackson and Casey Co. will not win another district game. You never know what may happen, but it would probably be a safe bet to say that those two will not win thier remaining games in the district? Jesse James
This was a wild game for sure. DJ Hall for Wayne County rushed for 289 Yds and at least 3 TD's. Macon for Taylor was big also, returning a interception 100 yards for a TD at the end of the first half.
Jumper_Dad
How does the tie breaker play out in a three way tie with each team 1-1 against the other two.
AverageJoesGym
How does the tie breaker play out in a three way tie with each team 1-1 against the other two. Each team adds up the wins of any four opponents that they defeated(but they cannot use the teams involved in the tie) and whichever team has the higher number is the winner. If the tie still isn't settled you go to a fifth team. Here's a link to the system: District Tiebreakers
Jumper_Dad
If Wayne beats Garrard then here is where we will stand in the district. Wayne, Taylor and Somerset all with one loss to each other. The tie breaker in the case of a three way tie is decided on which teams top 4 opponents have the most wins not counting wins over one of the tied teams.....(see link in AverageJoes post to clarify) Wayne with wins (# of games won for tie breakers sake) over Russell Co (2) Casey (1) Jackson (1) Garrard (3) (assuming they win for the tie breaker to be in effect) with Clinton (1) and Monroe (5) left to play Taylor with wins over Campbellsville (2) Garrard (3) Casey (1) with Jackson (1) Hart (4) and Caverna (3) left to play Somerset with wins over Metcalfe (2) Garrard (3) Jackson (1) with Russell Co (2) Casey (1) Corbin (7) and Harlan County (4) left to play Of course this will change weekly based on how well each team former and future opponents do. Somerset potentially has it for the taking but they also have by far the toughest schedule left with Harlan Co and Corbin. If Taylor sweeps Hart and Caverna then Somerset has to beat Corbin. A Wayne win over Monroe would really help their chances. but this could be a moot point because.........A Garrard win over Wayne gives the district #1 seed to Taylor county and none of this matters. Commander 25
Sounds a very wild district and this one isn't settled yet.
Jesse James
The Wayne Co/Garrard Co game will be a great one also. I am sure both teams will be pumped up for this one.
Maroon Fan
I take it that Thomas was injured last week and did not play against Wayne.
