It's been a long, long time since Colerain lost a conference/district (whatever they call it in Ohio) game.

 

Also, what's up with Cincy Saint X? Man, LaSalle barely beat a struggling Lexington Henry Clay this year. Wow!

The Middletown win snapped a 61 game GMC win streak for Colerain. Almost a DECADE worth of league wins...

I saw Middletown a few weeks ago and their O is VERY good. Look for WR Allen Roberts to back off his basketball verbal to Miami (OH) and end up at a big time BCS school at WR. JR QB Caleb Watkins is also a very legit D1 prospect under center.

 

Middletown was able to keep Tyler Williams in front of them, and while he got his yards he didn't break open the game.

 

While I thought they were the 2nd best GMC team, I didn't think the D could close it out. With Sycamore, Princeton, Lakota West, Middleton and Hamilton on the rise the GMC could very well take over the GCL as the top league in Cincy for a little while...

I was really hoping that Colerain was going to go undefeated, win the Ohio D-I championship and finish the year with a national top-5 ranking... then I could say that Highlands hung in there with one of the nation's very best!!!

 

I'd say that Colerain will have a tough time winning the state championship.

I think it is a down year for high school football in Cincinnati.. I don't see a Cincy team winning a State Championship...

They may be down as a whole, but I'd still say either Colerain or Elder has a shot at a title. However, next year should be interesting as most teams top players this year are underclassmen.
