Nice win for Mayfield. I'd rather go up there now and beat them on their own field.

Just assuming both teams will get that far is assuming a lot this year. I think at least one of them won't make it...

The district championship is even more precious this year with the playoffs going back to the cross bracketing format like it was a few years ago. So say Mayfield is the #2 seed...then assuming they get past their first round game, they would probably have to make a long trip to Louisville to play Holy Cross for a second round game before even thinking about the Regional Championship game. It could turn out that the Regional Game could be closer than the 2nd round game. So the district #1 seed is huge this year as it would guarantee two home playoff games at home based on if you keep winning.
