I think CCH will be better than some think. They will take their lumps early and probably won't be able to compete with Holmes or Boone but I still see them in the 3-5 range in the region by mid to late season.

 

Maile is a huge loss but Listerman will win games this year by stressing defense since CCH won't be a force to be reconned with offensively. Let's not forget they did have a pretty solid JV team last year that's coming up. Now whether or not that success can turn over to the varsity level is yet to be seen.

I will say it again. You can not play Counts or Thelen at the 3 and compete in this region. Not going to happen. Counts, Thelen, Wellbrock and Isler are all power forwards. You can have two on the floor at a time. You can't change the fact that Thelen, Wellbrock and Isler are big men with heavy feet.

 

Could you imagine Counts or Thelen trying to guard Rico Johnson at Holmes, Steven McFarland at Boone, Steven Kowolonek at Highlands?

 

Coach Listerman will play some zone, but not a lot. With the line up that you are suggesting he would never be able to play any man.

 

Steven Wilson will be a guy that has to step up and play some three. He is athletic and would be much better on the perimeter.

 

Cov Cath is going to struggle some because of their lack of depth at the guard and wing positions.

I agree. Thelen will be most effective in the paint as a 4 or 5.

 

He may get away with playing the 3 against lesser competition but he isn't quick enough to guard the likes of Rico or J.J or Pittman from Holmes and would really struggle trying to.
