Man I love Chicago

Featured Replies

I hate Chicago. I went up there a few years ago for a mini vacation as my wife took some training classes up there. Everyone up there is in such a hurry, and the people are downright rude.

Be warned that if you do attend a game at Wrigley you will never enjoy GABP as much as you did prior to Wrigley. Its simply impossible.

The environment at Wrigley is awesome, but the stadium itself leaves a lot to be desired. It's just so old.

I was there last year over New Year's and there was a wind chill of 28 below. Temperature was 0. Cold. Really, really, really cold.

The HotDogs at Wrigley are the absolute best.. Great town.

I've never had this experience, in fact I've always encountered Chicagoians as very friendly.

Man, you have to experience Wrigleyville on gameday. Getting off the L-train and getting street level with all the vendors, ticket scalpers, Bars, music playing.

After 8 hrs of Old Style a few of us went to Mike Ditka's rest. and sat in the bar area feeding our faces with some great steak and listening to this big heavyset guy with a beard nail Frank Sinatra and Ray Charles tunes.

I dont know how some of the guys in our group did it. Started Friday night at 8pm and most went until 4am. Got up and were in Wrigleyville by 1pm and then another all nighter til 4am. Im sure many are still hurting. LOL

I know, I know, I've been hearing about Wrigleyville forever. Cubs have never been in town when I've been up there though.

Sounds like your group had a blast. Glad to hear everyone had a good time and will live to tell about it. :thumb:
