Lloyd has had a tough 3 games and it pays off starting friday, Lloyd by at least 14.

I agree, if Lloyd gets a few stops early that may be all it takes for the juggs to take over. I just don't think Newport can score with Lloyd and they do not have the defense to keep lloyds score low. Just my thoughts.:thumb:

Newport hasn't played the competition that Lloyd has. Newport is one of Lloyd's biggest rivals, Lloyd will come out pumped and surprise a lot of people with this game. People think Lloyd is 0-3 and they are down this year, when in all actuality, Lloyd has a very good chance of making a run deep into the playoffs.

Beechwood and LCA are averaging over 50 pts. a game each I believe. Lloyd held both to In the 30's, and they also held a 6A school to 24 points. Not one team Newport has played is nearly as physical as any team Lloyd has played this year. This is Lloyd's first district game of the year, and Lloyd isn't playing to come in second, third, or last. They want to win, and they will give it everything they have, and will settle for nothing less than a District Title. Anything less than that or state, will be an unsucsessful season. Look for Lloyd to come out fired up, and give Newport a game that they're not expecting. I wish the best of luck to Newport.

LCA averaged 50+ points a game and Lloyd held them to 36 so the D might have done something. Last time I checked Lloyd's last two opponents were playing one another in the state 1a championship game :thumb:.

Erlanger Lloyd's QB runs the ball a lot and throws the ball a lot. This will be the first team that Newport has faced that will throw the ball. I look for the QB to run at least 10 -15 times. Herthel is back for Lloyd and will be a factor. If he gets the ball, see ya later. You need to see this kid run at track meets. For Newport to have any chance in this game, they need to put pressure on the QB and key on him for the run. Newport's pass defense will finally be tested in this game. And that is what we want, don't we? Remember this, when the Lloyd QB goes back to pass, he may pass or he may run. Newport's best defense may be ball control if they can pull it off. Let's try to keep the ball out of the Juggernauts hands. Good Luck Wildcats!!

Just wonderin when was the last time Lloyd won a District Title or went to state? I can't see any one but NCC to when the District Title.

I am goin call the Wildcats out on this game. They say they are good and have talent, the Sr. class are winners, they don't like to loose. This game is a gut check for Newport, they have been beat up on bad the last 2 games. Does any Wildcats have any HEART! I want to see come Friday night who has HEART! Lets go Wildcats get FIRED UP and lets play so HIT BALL!

I encourage the Newport players to do the following: listen to your coaches, attend all practices, work hard in practice, become a smart player, practice good sportsmanship, and leave it all on the field.
