Very strange game, controlled by the Raiders everywhere but on the score board.(which is where matters) TC had 22 first downs to GC 6. Trimble had 70 plays for 398 total yards to GC 35 for 121.

 

Another heart breaking loss for TC. Keep working and stay together.

I am just curious who this freshman star is and did he play in middle school last year? I watched Trimble middle play last year and did not see this kid you speak of.

 

This young man has took a growth spurt and is a very realible young man that takes care of his business off the field that will allow him to stay on the field. Never misses practice and is in control of the team and his emotions.

 

Very good leader for a 9th grader.

Jars 08 12, you must also look at the time that the quarterback has. When you have tall and fast defensive ends coming off the edge unblocked and two linebackers that are well coach and very discipline crashing up the middle, sometimes the only time you have is looking at one side of the field.

Third down and a whole lot deep in their own territory. Since QB Florence handled punting duties the Raiders had nobody deep and it turned into a good move.

You are absolutely correct it is very hard to find receivers when your line or blocking backs can't slow down the defensive penetration. But TC has their QB 7 yards deep that gives him at least 2 seconds to determine, based on his read, who should be open or where he needs to go. I used to put my QB's on a 3 -1000 count the ball should be leaving their hands at 3 if not they should be moving out of the pocket and getting rid of the ball or making up ground. TC's QB is awesome at the running the ball part of the game ( built like a tailback, reacts like a tailback, must (want to) be a tailback).I would love this kid for my backfeild, running the ball, but no way as the primary passer. This is in no way saying that he could not be a good QB someday or that his Coaches arent doing the right thing. Knowing Coach Poynter to be a very capable Coach I am certain if there was another option he would utilize it, this is just my own perspective based on what I saw at a couple of TC's games this year and in no manner do I think that I know it all, there is always more to know or learn even at my age. :thumb:

I respect your perspective completly, and I was just giving you an explanation. The only the time the QB is at 7 yards is when the offense is running the A-11 offense. When in original formation, the QB is at 4 to 5 yards. I understand what your saying about using the feet to get outside the pocket, which is a great idea. I personally know the Sullivan kid and if I can remember I will tell him. :thumb:
