Corbin 31 South Laurel 21

Well if you consider that Corbin wont play Bell anymore your credibility is lost. Coming from a outsiders point of view this used to be my favorite game to come watch and then they wont renew the contract. I had much more respect for the Redhound program will they were getting beat by Bell then now that they dont :sssh:.
Just because they don't play Bell doesn't mean they're not ONE of the best teams in Mountains. Belfry doesn't play Bell, does that not mean that they're not one of the best teams in the Mountains? I didn't say Corbin was the best team in the Mountains, I just said they do not get enough credit.... do you agree?

You could be correct in your assessment of the Hounds. I thought the line looked kinda unmotivated in the first half. The second half they picked it up, but were so tired on Defense, South picked them apart. I can not understand why Corbin does not have more depth on both sides of the ball. Numbers look pretty good, decent size, but no minutes. For the Hounds to roll deep in the playoffs, some needed help must come from the bench. Lambdin was lost in a JV or Freshman game recently, Foley is out for the season. This maybe the weakest South Laurel team they have had for the passed 6 or 7 years. One kid on the defensive line looked about 5'3 and could not weigh more than 145 pounds. I thought the Hounds would win more convincingly.

SL is no slouch, I promise you that. You are probably right though, Corbin could play better..... maybe someone just needs to lite a fire under them.

Corbin is one of the most tradition rich programs in the state. They are still a force to be reckoned with in 2A, year in and year out. I look for them to make a deep run in the playoffs.

Hopefully just the start of a long run into the playoffs for the redhounds.

Hey J.D.Dog how is it going when are you going to get over here and watch one.The hounds are looking good this year.Beat a good South team.
Corbin and Bell are 2 teams that don't duck anyone. I believe the issue was between the 2 coaches and not because either is afraid of the other one. Saw them both last year and think Corbin would have won last year. This year, I think Bell would win.

I saw both teams play last year. And Corbin couldn't have beat Bell last year because of Bell's defense and they would have played at Bell. Corbin has a good team this year but Corbin was a 2A power from way back and they used to dodge nobody. They had a good win against SL but they are not a powerhouse yet. Coach Adams didn't dodge Bell or anybody else. Good luck rest of the season Corbin.

Many Corbin fans agree with that statement, but it appears Coach Adams is not calling the shots these days. The past is just that, glory days gone by. Everyone has to now live in the precious present. For what ever that is worth. :walk:
