I'm not sure if there is already a thread about this...but oh well.

Does anyone know where the Teipel kid from Beechwood will be playing next season in college? I've seen him play a couple of times and I have been impressed every time.

I've heard that he has been getting alot of interest, but no scholarship offers yet. That was a few weeks backs and things could've changed since then.

I have only seen him play a few times but from what I have seen I think playing at an OVC or Mid-American Conference team would be a very good fit for him.

I watched him at Lloyd this year, what is his speed like? He looked like he had slow feet. (it could've been the weather, I'm not bashing, just curious)

I think you're right on in your assessment.

Wasn't it Indiana that offered him a scholarship and withdrew it for another kid?

It does not seem like he has incredible speed, but I wouldn't say slow.

He'll end up on the D side of the ball IMHO

My unofficial, unbiased assessment of Nieco Teipel.

Good size kid with better than average speed (not break away speed though). Likes to tip-toe through the big holes his line provides and seldom takes on big hits as he has very good body control (ala Shaun Alexander).

I agree that he will probably end up on the defensive side at the next level.

I heard from an outside source that he runs a 4.6. Is this true? If so, that is not slow at all especially for a linebacker.
