How would I know what his limits are? I see no reason for the Boston Globe to lie about it. Do you?

So, are Obama supporters going to argue that McCain's POW injuries are not severe enough to excuse him from typing? I certainly hope so! :lol:

How come the only source you can find for it is an obscure article from 2000? With all the tales of McCain's torture surely this would have gotten more play in the media. Everyone knows he can't lift his arms over his head, don't you think the media would love to tell us how he can't tie his shoes? Or use a keyboard? Please don't believe everything you read.

 

As for your second comment, it really makes no sense and there is no logical connection there with the Obama ad. National Security is fought home and abroad and doesn't always deal with firing guns, flying planes and facing enemies. Not all battles have to be fought with guns, no matter what some folks may think.

Never said what I thought he could or couldn't do because of PHYSICAL injuries. I said he doesn,t understand the technology, like most 72 year old folks.

As I sit and stew on this some more, if McCain truly can't type on a keyboard, what can he do? Can he-

Brush his teeth?

Write?

Dress himself?

Floss?

Cook?

Tie his shoes?

Drive?

Drink?

Wash dishes?

 

Typing would seem to be the simplest out of these activities.

I don't think if I gave you dozens of sources it would matter to you. You want to question his disabilities, you and Barack can feel free to do so. I find it beneath my morals to do so. I have no reason to doubt McCain or the Boston Globe, wallowing in mud as deep as this ad does is just simply unappealing to me.

Again, I find it very sad that you would question his disabilities, but hey, if your into that sort of thing...

I would not excuse anyone of making fun of or downplaying McCain's POW injuries. It disgust me to think of humans treating each other they way that McCain was treated. That is why I will strongly support whatever limits that McCain suggests be appropriate for detainees or POW.

 

However, in our modern day, we have more ways to utilize the internet then just a keyboard. What about all of our wireless devices as simple as an iPhone? Would his injuries prevent him from being able to use a touch screen or stylus?

The AD had nothing to do with McCains' physical abilities, it simply points out that he has been around in public office since 1985 and has done nothing, nor has he adapted th CHANGE.

Obama wasn't smart enough to think about McCain's disabilities, that's why I started the thread. How does emailing and surfing the net prove change?
