Why don't we just have a seperate contest forum ? Where you put all the football contest and results in one place. I have no ideal how much trouble that would be, just a suggestion.

We actually tried that for one season. Problem was, the contests didn't get near the attention they should get. A lot of folks don't remember that forum at all (even though it was only two years ago) so I'd say the proof is in the pudding.

 

We want the contests to get a lot of play and we want to give away as many prizes as possible. Experience has taught us that putting the contests in the forum they relate to is the best way to meet those goals.

Which sticky's are the ones you are interested in?

 

We like to limit sticky's to 2 or 3 at a given time because too many tend to take away from the current threads, in our opinion.

 

So when a sticky topic has served its purpose, or when another topic warrants a sticky in its place, we un-stick it and it usually starts to make its progression down the forum. Then if need be, we can always stick it again down the road.

I like that idea also, could we sticky the current weeks contest and then have the results put at the end of the contest thread (that would save the number of threads building up during football season and make keeping up with all the action easier). It could then be un-stickied when the next weeks contest comes out.
