October 19, 200817 yr Perhaps Wisconsin should be required to finish in the top 5 of the Big 10 first, before we start hyping them to be better than 5th in the SEC. 0-4 in a terrible conference. While Wisconsin was one of the most overrated teams in the country to being the season, The Big 10 isn't "terrible". If you want to see "terrible" conferences, check out the Big East and ACC..

October 19, 200817 yr Kind of come to expect all the Big Ten bashing around here with all the SEC fans and that is OK. I just find it funny that when a Vanderbilt beats a South Carolina the thought is wow Vandy must be good and not the fact that both are bad. However if a Northwestern would beat a top tier team in the Big Ten then the conference is just terrible. Auburn who is a top tier team this year in the SEC barely beats a Conference USA team, Arkansas struggles against a Louisiana Monroe team, Tenn loses to a below than average PAC 10 team, Alabama barely wins their game this week. Not saying the SEC is a bad conference it is propably the best conference just not by as much as everyone thinks. I would take the 4 best in the Big ten this year (OSU, Penn St, Wisc, and propably Ill.) and they are on the level of the top 4 in the SEC, PAC 10 and Big 12. The rest of the Big ten this year is mediocre like the middle and bottom of the other leagues. Very WELL said! I agree 100%! To add to your comment with another example: Florida lost to a weak Ole Miss team which is 3-4, with Ole Miss's other 2 wins against powers Memphis and Samford!:thumb:
October 19, 200817 yr Alabama will be a middle of the road team in the SEC this year, and dominated the preseason favorite in the ACC. The SEC is the best college football conference top to bottom. Simple as that. No argument against it. There's a reason the last two champions came from the SEC. Every week there will be competition, you can't say that about other conferences. Alabamas schedule is turning out not to be that difficult. Their tough games are Georgia and LSU.
October 19, 200817 yr As far from it as one can be. Maxdeuce is just a fan that has common sense and is not blocked by SEC bias!
October 19, 200817 yr Thats why Wisconsin has beaten the SEC in 2 of the last three bowl games and should of won last year. Most underrated program in America is Wisconsin. And yes OSU could compete for the SEC championship as well as Penn St. and Wisconsin. Not saying they would win it but would have a chance depending upon where games were played etc. College football has too much parity now to think one conference is so much better than the other. Another excellent point!

October 19, 200817 yr The Big 10 has one good team and one pretty good team. What else is there? The top 5 in the Big 10 is better than the top 5 in both the ACC and Big East.. The Big 10 is terrible. To you, and I am sure many other people it is, but a terrible conference to me is the Big East and ACC..

October 20, 200817 yr Being a notch up from the ACC and Big East isn't saying much at all this year. It's def nothing to brag about. OSU got embarrassed by USC and the best team Penn St. has beat is probably Illinois or Wisconsin.
October 20, 200817 yr Being a notch up from the ACC and Big East isn't saying much at all this year. The Big 10 is more than a notch ahead of those two conferences.. It's def nothing to brag about. OSU got embarrassed by USC and the best team Penn St. has beat is probably Illinois or Wisconsin. Also OSU did get drilled, and not trying to make excuses, but look who they had at QB and no Beanie Wells. To me that game is closer with Pryor and a healthy Wells like we have saw the past couple of weeks. Not saying OSU would have won that game, just saying it would have been closer IMO. Also Penn State has HANDLED all of their opponents this season. They have destroyed the teams in the Big 10, unlike Alabama and UF losing, and playing close to below .500 teams..
