I must say I was a bit surprised by this score, not so much that Harlan County won but by the margin. Lynn Camp whose numbers are always small will hit hard and play hard, and make a game of it when nobody gives them a chance.

The Black Bears will have many more wins to come under Coach Tom Larkey.

I wonder if his son, Chris Larkey, is on the sidelines at Harlan? He would be a great addition to this staff, if he isn't already there.

I saw a couple of coaches at the Letcher game that I didn't recognize. I was wondering the same thing.

I think I saw Chris up in the crow's nest last night with a head set on with Coach Morris.

I didn't realize there were so many injuries. Hopefully, you guys can get healthy before district play!

 

Our leading rusher (#21 Wagner) was out for the game before kickoff. 2nd leading rusher (#22 Steele) went down with a knee injury early. Starting QB has been out since before the season (Kicking and D only). Starting Center/Tackle out with a broken arm. It has been rough to get things going this year. I have no idea what we could do with all our pieces. Would have been a better game, but that's how it goes. You play with what you have, and I think that HC would have won regardless last night. They looked good. We moved the ball, but just could not score.

 

#17 Dylan Napier had a good showing for us last night when he had to fill in for Wagner and Steele. Had some really good kick returns. (Just wish he had not got so many chances!:lol:) Believe it or not, there were a few bright spots for LC last night. Just wish we had made it more of a game.

It was good to see a good ol' home town boy, Freddy maggard, out watching the Black Bears of Harlan County!! Glad to see him doing well.
