Ever heard of advertising budgets. Nextel pays to be the sponsor of NASCAR...Nextel doesn't make money directly from the races. Great American paid to have the stadium named ....Applebee's paid the Legends to name their stadium...

 

At the high school level, its all about feel good, community support.

If that's the case, I really like GRC's chances... Williams will be the fastest guy on the field in the majority of the games they play this season. I think GRC pulls it out after letting last year slip out from under them.:thumb: Remember guys, last year was the first time Montgomery Co. has won in quite awhile...

Don't underestimate Ryan Hackworth. He has killer speed as well; he runs a legit laser 4.5. He is being recruited by Purdue! This time last year he was getting mail from Georgia Tech. Both are amazing players.

I also heard that Montgomery Co. only dresses something like 30 players and they don't use subs very often. Is this true? Are their numbers down or are they usually that low? That doesn't sound like very many to me.

They only dressed about 35-40 last year with 6 or 7 players starting both ways. This year they will dress about the same with about 5 or 6 players starting both ways. They will actually sub alot more this year than last year. Should be a great game today!

35 - 40 kids on a 5A team. That's Montgomery's biggest hurdle right now, keeping kids in the program. I think they only have 7 seniors and 11 juniors this year and it's tough to win at the 5A level with numbers like that. On a positive note I have heard there's about 45 kids in the freshman/sophomore classes though.

Still think MC beats Clark tonight though, I've heard GRC doesn't dress many more than MC does, which really blows my mind.
