LC wins this one easily.

LC 35 WC 7

Lincoln Co. 24

Washington Co. 16

Lincoln by at least 2 TDs

Washington County is just not taht talented. They have a quarterback named Jo Jo Simms who can play some ball but is constantly running for his life. Their coach does an outstanding job with what he has, but that's not much. There is just not that much fire over in Springfield right now.

They do have one of the best radio announcers in the state in Hal Goode.

Hal is good, and a good guy too.

I was told that Washington County will be in the shotgun with 4 wide 95% of the time.

With the late double-header start, this one will might not be over until Saturday.

Unless Jeff Smith and Larry Smith are suiting back up for the Commanders, I'd think Lincoln should win their Death Valley Bowl matchup.

(How is that for two name's from Washington County's past. )

Those are two names that most people don't even know about including some players I do know that Larry is on the coaching staff.

That's a shame because those were two great ball players at Washington county and both had good careers at UK. Trust me, as a former Rebel I remember them. :thumb:

Washington did lose a few key players off last years squad. They started the year strong but the injury to star runningback Shane Bueter started a downhill slide. I don't look for the Commanders to really give Lincoln County any problems. Jo Jo Simms is a descent quarterback but will play right into the hands of the Patriots. Lincoln Co. wins this one convincingly 42-7. :thumb:
