August 11, 200818 yr So, the God who is the Creator of all life should check in with the Gooch when he is setting up the rules? Is that it? One of man's many problems is our arrogance that we think God should bow to us in how things ought to be ran and how things should go in our lives. So you really believe God was an advocate for unequal rights between men and women???
August 11, 200818 yr Please provide the Scriptures so that I can study what they said. I know of no Scripture where Jesus or the 12 indicated that was appropriate. I will say that in many things, I think you are close on this post. It is old testament...Which means that you will probably dismiss it...
August 11, 200818 yr Author So you really believe God was an advocate for unequal rights between men and women??? As the first post said, there was a problem with the order of worship and the Scripture was a culturally reference to that society at that time. I believe it was a letter written to a specific church and how they were conducting their worship. The permanent nature of the Scripture as the context and complete Scripture points out is that our worship time needs to be in some form of orderly format. That said, yeah, I do. Jesus picked no females to serve as his 12 apostles. WHY? I have no clue. But he did not pick any females. Jesus was about rocking the religious boat if he wanted to do what he felt was the way things should be done. But he did not pick any females as his 12 apostles. WHY? That said, women have a MAJOR ROLE in the Christian church. It is an EQUAL ROLE to whatever a man might be doing. It might not be the SAME ROLE, but it is equal in importance and vital to the success of Christ's church.
August 11, 200818 yr Author It is old testament...Which means that you will probably dismiss it... Assuming is not a pleasant thing and I no way want to be a butt.:sssh::lol:

I always found that cool
August 11, 200818 yr Author Mary Mag was the only one of his followers at all of the crucifixion stories... I always found that cool I agree. And she had a very important role in the story of Christ and probably the early church. Does not mean that she had the SAME role as the 12 but she had an important part to play.
August 11, 200818 yr Mary Mag was the only one of his followers at all of the crucifixion stories... I always found that cool.I believe she was also the first person to whom he appeared.
August 11, 200818 yr I believe she was also the first person to whom he appeared. Isn't there something that Jesus whispers to one of the disciples or followers that the Bible never elaborates on...Kinda like when Jesus draws int he sand..

August 11, 200818 yr Mark 16:15..."And he (Jesus) said unto them, go through out the world and preach the good news to a creaton. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever doesn't believe will be condemed. "And these signs will accompany those who believe; in my name they will drive out demons, (do we do thay today?) they will speak in new tongues (do we do that?) ( I can't speak the gospel In German), and they will pick up snakes with their hands (Ladies Hoe), and when they drink deadly poison it will not hurt them ( it would hurt me), and they will heal sick people and make them well...(cannot happened like the other things mentioned) need a doctor and time." These were for the Disciples in their time and they had Jesus's blessing. Man doesn't have those gifts now. Paul got bitten by a snake and felt no ill effects.
