How good is Ricky Bowling out of South Laurel

Bowling is slightly ahead of cashen when it comes to decision making. Cashen is light years ahead of him in physical skills, size, speed, strength, arm strength. College coaches believe they can teach decision making. Cashen 0 scholarships, just sayin'.

Bowling is light years ahead of Cashen in decision making and speed. Bowling and Cashen are about even on arm strength, however Cashen is stronger and bigger.

Bottom line, Bowling is an excellent high school QB who will probably be at the NAIA or possibly D2 level. Too small for D1aa or D1, but that shouldn't diminish how good of a HS QB he really is. He has been the starter since he was a freshman and you can't get much more seasoned than that.

As far as comparing he and Cashen. Clint was bigger and stronger. Ricky is quicker and doesn't lock onto 1 receiver as much at this point as Cashen did (not that he did it a lot as a jr or sr). If I had a HS team, I would like to have either one of them!

Good analysis of the two. Bowling is an excellent high school QB who can play at the next level in the right system. He has some intangibles that don't show up when you measure someone, but he can sure play the game.

You nailed it. I would love to have Cashen or Bowling at the helm of my offense.

I agree, Ricky will end up at Union or Virginia-Wise and has a good chance to set some records at the NAIA level.

I just recieved word that Ricky Bowling will be in Auburn this week for football camp.

If Ricky, was 6' 1" or 6' 2" he would be a major D1 prospect. Yes! He is the real deal!

I agree, however he will most likely play in the NAIA, but it's great a 5-9 170lb kid is even being considered by some of the D1 guys. Can't wait to see him play one more season at the high school level.

Ricky Bowling looked great at Auburn's senior day camp over the weekend. I feel like he raised his stock from NAIA to a solid 1AA program that runs the Franklin system, don't think any big time programs will take a chance on him with his 5-9 170lb frame.

Ricky Bowling started his senior season off with a bang. Bowling went 18-28 passing, for 362 yds, and he threw 5 td passes. Ricky Bowling now has 101 td passes for his great career.:flame:
