The continual mispronunciation of the word did bother me, particularly as a chemistry teacher...but I did not lambast him for it. I make plenty of errors myself.

Some of the perception is because of his Texas accent, sure he's said some dumb things, but he did manage to be president of the greatest country in the world for two terms. Obama doesn't sound very intelligent in many of his foolish statements either.
