33rd District Tournament

If I'm not mistaken, If Conner wins their first district game they are guaranteed a regional berth. So beating Ryle AGAIN would only be a bonus! Making the region is priority!

Nobody wants to back into the Regionals.

I agree not their greatest strength but the pitching staff of Conner has been getting the job done as of late. I don't consider him the weakest ace in the district I believe he is better than whoever Boone considers their ace this week... and even if he is the weakest ace he shut down the Raiders and the Rebels. giving up only 1 earned run combined against both teams.

Who started the game for Conner before the rain suspended. Because, Boone's 3 runs that came in the 1st inning were earned. Williams hit a 3 run 2B. No errors prior to this hit.

I don't know that all three of those runs were earned, but they all scored on a routine fly ball that was dropped with two outs.

i believe that shuttlesworth pitch those innings but im not positive on how those guys that scored, got on base.

The double was not a hit it was an error... Flyball should have been caught.

Does anyone have a schedule of when these games will be played?

Wasn't at the game but heard Kevin hit a shot, stated by Boone and Conner fans. You saw something different than 2 parents from both teams. Interesting ?

Must have gotten bad info. Parents from Boone and Conner told me it was a shot. Maybe not.

It's less than 300ft. to the fence in right field at Conner and although the ball was hit on the meat of the bat, a 30 to 40 mile an hour wind gust took a normally routine fly ball and made it an adventure to catch! Ultimately the ball did touch the fielders glove without having to leave his feet!

After solidifying a spot in the region it's not considered backing in! It's no different than backing off your final pool game in summer ball after you have won your way into the following days tourney. Obviously you give up bragging rights in winning the district! Theres no way I would blow out my best pitchers and ruin my chances in the region! Unless of course you're blessed with a deep staff!

Ryle's field on its worst day is still a better option than Conner's on its best. Not sure what your issue was with Ryle's field, but it is in quite nice shape this year, especially the infield.

I was actually fairly impressed with Ryle's infield'. IMO its a good idea to make this change of venue. Also there are a group of parents and coaches that have put alot of time in Conner's field! This effort will continue with NO HELP FROM THE COUNTY! Its an embarrassment how slow the response time has been trying to get things done, and its a shame that willing participants can't continue making progress without tip-toeing around incompetent higher-ups!

Well, that should pretty much end any thoughts you might have had about obtaining a job with the school board . . . . :p

Exactly what I saw. I would not consider it a shot by any means. Even with the wind it was still pretty much routine, just misplayed by the fielder.
