I read in the paper yesterday where Jenalee Ginn from Walton-Verona breaks the single season double state record. The record is 21 and she now has 23. Congradulations and keep hitting those doubles the season isn't over yet.

Heard that from Coach Anderson at Carroll County this week. She is one to watch as she enters high school. She may be the new Kirsten Allen in a few years!!!

She will probably get some career hitting records before she is done. As for the comparison to Kirsten, IMO she is already a better hitter, she doesn't have the physical stature to be as good of a pitcher. She is 1 of a large group of good pitchers in the 8th and 9th grade in this area. It should make for some good softball in the next few years.

I do'nt think sne will ever be Allen on the rubber but she can flat hit.

Our ' boy's ' team sure could use a power hitter wonder if she'd be interested ? :lol::lol::lol::lol: a great hitter and if I'm not mistaken another year or two left to keep going and going and going.....

South Laurel's Emily Gaines has 24 doubles so far this season.

I believe that Gaines is just a sophomore as well. She is a special player!

If you think Jenalee is good, you should see her little sister Julann. Her change up is wicked. She plays for one of the premier 12u summer softball teams in the TriState!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go Bandits!

Ginn was the youngest player to make the 1st team Enquirer all-star team.

I saw her as a 7th grader and she was very good then. It will be interesting to see how her career plays out.

So who has the State record for doubles?

I think Emily Gaines set the new record this season. Les probably has the final count. I believe she set a new season hits record somewhere in the 80s this past season as well. And just a sophomore!

Ginn was just an 8th grader this year, and remember she plays a "Weak Northern Kentucky Schedule".
