April 26, 200818 yr Dallas takes RB Felix Jones. Wow I would have taken Mendenhall over him. I was sitting here, fingers crossed hoping we would go Mendenhall because I could not believe he dropped that far. However, the more I think about it the better I like the decision. I mean Mendenhall is and will be a work horse back, we already have that in Barber. Instead of taking another Barber type, go with a speedy compliment that has the big play ability. Julius Jones was too much of the same to Barber so now we have a good diverse tandem in the backfield with another Jones.
April 26, 200818 yr Schefter thinks Duane Brown will be the next pick. I've not seen him ranked all that high. Would be a bad pick IMO. Mayock has him as a 3rd round pick.
April 26, 200818 yr I think he is cut from the same mold as Parker. I would have rather seen a WR go here or a DL (the kids from UNC or Miami)... Mendenhall can get up in there. I mean body types are close, but Mendenhall is a work horse brusing back that has speed, not a speed back that can bruise. I think he is a great compliment to fast Willy Parker who is just that, fast.

I looked him up and he is an inside runner and Pittsburgh needed that since the Bus retired. I did not see Mendenhall falling this far.
