April 24, 200818 yr Unless there is a lot of behind the scenes controversy with Taylor and the organization, I believe he ends up staying in Miami.
April 25, 200818 yr They are afraid he is going to retire in the next year or two. I think it's a good move by Miami. It's a scary pick taking him because he can not like the team and just retire. He almost retired last year. He's tried his gig on dancing with the stars and he has said he wants to be a part of the Hollywood scene. The Bengals could use him but I'd pass. I think a team that is trying to win it all this year could roll the dice but that's the only way I'd go after him.
April 25, 200818 yr Taylor is a great player and virtually changed the way the defensive-end position was played in the NFL, but in todays day and age I don't see any GM giving up a first round pick, or even a second rounder in most cases. For some reason that just doesn't go down in the NFL as owners value draft picks and in a lot of times over value draft picks IMO. All I'm going to say is its hard to get value picks for value players, I mean when you can get a Randy Moss or a Pacman Jones for just a fourth round pick, then thats not a trade, thats a steal, and I'm not talking about for the team thats going to have one more time on the clock.
April 25, 200818 yr Taylor is getting up there in age what would you even give for him. I wouldn't give a first round pick for him but I would give him Chad Johnson.
