UL Spring game tonight

Featured Replies

I think they only had about 8500 is what I read.

I agree with the UL defense looking weak. DB's look a half step slow and several times were just "stiffed" by the RB's w/o making tackles. O-line was giving up lots of pressure on the QB's. TE #49 made some really nice catch/runs. RB's looked good. I liked the NFL guys coming back and presenting the jerseys to the Seniors. D needs to find a consistent run stuffing LB. Also, congrats to Zach Kiernan, from NCC, for getting hardware as the Defensive Scout team MVP!! Looks like his leg is healing nicely and he told me he should be ready to go for next season!

I was on the field for the game and there was not 17,000. The media made that number up; more like 13,000, if that. D-was awful and made the OFF look good. Off. line needs a lot of work, to many mistakes on both sides of the ball the one thing you do not want in a spring game.

I thought the defense looked horrible- they need some work.

Given injuries, lack of numbers, poor previous leadership, they looked awesome.

There were tons of people there, and the tailgate was fabulous, considering that the high school all star events were going on at the same time, it was fabulous.

I thought the one thing you didn't want in a spring game was injuries. Which as far as I know, there weren't any. So long as they get it together come game time (which isn't for a while), I'm not too upset from what I'm reading. Pretty much what I expected.
