Mark Hamil in either of the 3 wasn't going to ring up the votes for best acting either. He was pretty much over the top with his screaming in the light saber duel.

 

From my view, he was as bad as Hayden.

 

It seems the Skywalkers were better with a light saber than acting.

He was two slightly different characters in II and III but there was no on screen development. Any changes were almost instantaneous.

 

Luke developed from farm boy to rebel hero, to budding Jedi and eventually true Jedi.

 

Mark Hamil deserves an Oscar nomination in comparison to Hayden Christenson.
