NCC moves on to meet the winner of the tenth for a trip to Applebees. HC up 6-5 after 5 innings, then implodes defensively, giving up 6 unearned runs the rest of the way.

Who was on the mound for HC?

I figured Stewart would throw a better game. He looked good last year and this summer.

Jeremy Connor went 6 for NCC. Michael Lipscomb struck out the side in the 7th. Alex Pangallo hit a mammouth homerun over the leftfield fence. Mark Kelly and Nathan Rawe with huge 2 out hits. NCC played small ball to perfection, sacrificing runners over and getting big hits to produce runs. Congratulations to Coach Schulkens and his players on a well played tournament.

Stewart threw a great game for HC. Connor had a very guttsie performance for NCC. If the umpire had a clue how to be consistent with the balls and strikes both pitchers would have had better outings. Connor has pinpoint control and locates extremley well and Stewart keeps it down and worked the corners well but the lack of calls had both pitchers putting it where the hitters liked it. Stewart went 2-0 on Pangallo and both pitches I thought on the corner from behind the backstop and Stewart had to throw down the middle and Pangallo hit it out of the park!

Ironlung I think NCC had a few earned runs in the in the 6th;)

Very hard fought game by both teams!

Congrats NCC!! Good luck and keep up the hitting!! You did knock the cover off the ball today.

Congrats to NCC.. I didn't see them making it to Applebees

Stewart threw a great game... He did all a pitcher in high school i asked to do. Keep it low and let your fielders make plays. It just happen HC had a funk in the field. Too many errors and bad decisions.

Both teams left their starting pitchers in too long, especially this early in the season. The game should have been about 6-2 for NCC.

Any idea how many pitches they (each pitcher) threw?

Why don't you see them making it to Applebees? The 10th is down this year.

I've seen NCC a few times this year and they have good enough pitching to be successful. As a team they can run(someone should tell the 1st base coach) hit pretty well and can defend. I think that covers it? NCC might surprise a few people this year.

When do they play the 10th region winner

I'll say one thing for NCC this year. They like to run and move runners. Seem to have a lot of speed.
