Since Coach Cory Miller is now at Walton...

PE, would have to get an emergency certification.

I didn't think you needed a certification to teach at a private school just a degree. There is no way he will be considered for this. I like him a lot, but 1 year of coaching freshman girls, and no teaching experience isn't getting this job for him. What is his degree in?

I think that Dick Maile would be a great pick.

I agree but I don't see it happening.

Who do you think then? You seem to know everyone it isn't and why.

I think they have a candidate but I can't be positive. It's not hard to guess they won't offer last years freshman coach. If Maile applied I'm sure they would consider it strongly. I just don't think he's applied. I think it will be someone not mentioned yet.

Might be someone who has some strong connections to the NKY area and who has coached in this area as well. Quite possibly someone who is currently a head coach at another school outside the NKY area who is finding the commute to and from his current position to be more then he/she wishes to continue. Someone that has worked for a couple of parochial schools. Just something to consider.

The team has been told the announcement will come this friday.

Agreed:thumb:

From what I have heard, HC has interviewed an excellent coach that has a better resume than all of the coaches in the 9th region. Time will tell if the coach that interviewed will take the job. I like the way things are headed though!

So, who is this All Star coach w/a resume better than all of the 9th region, Pat Summit?

Hamilton Joe knows who it is.

OK, I read it again! I take this to mean the coach you refer to is outside the 9th region, so it has to be Pat Summit.

I'm guessing we'll find out today and that it will not be Pat Summit. The best resume in the 9th is debatable obvioulsy, but I think it will be a good hire for a program that was surprised to lose their head coach and the obvious replacement for that coach the same day.

Coach from Lexington Catholic has been hired.
