The SEC coaching fraternity has a pronounced Kentucky flavor. Besides Horn who was born in Glasgow, played high school ball in Lexington and played college ball at WKU , you have Gottfried at Alabama (Murray coach); Felton at Gerogia (coach at WKU); Stansbury at Mississippi State (native of Kentucky); Pelphrey (native Kentuckian and former UK player); and Donovan at Florida (assistant at UK) . Counting Gillispie, that's seven of the 12 coaches with some tie-in to the Bluegrass state.

 

Now, if you can tie them all somehow with Kevin Bacon you will really be onto something.

^ you may be right....but let's say he goes 16-14 next year, and follows that with a 19-11 season, both w/o the tourney.....nobody will be calling. IMO, you have to strike while the iron is hot, and it is smoldering right now.
