WAY TO GO PIPES !! Hurling a no-no to start the season...set the bar pretty high young fella!! Did Comb-Z get any hits...out of the infield! Keep them former "Muddogs" flyin' high!! WOOF!

Amen to that statement. He does and will do a great job for the Lightning. Tough spot with only 10 players, but the improvement is already visible and will get better as the year goes.

Piper pitched well. There was a hit though, IMO. Ball in the 1st inning hit to right where the 2nd baseman is running straight out trying to catch ball stretched out, over the shoulder - Willie Mays type of catch. Would have been a hit in the majors, should have been a hit in high school. Tough error for the 2nd baseman. Nevertheless, great job of pitching.
