Franklin County goes from being a whipping child to playing decent against a landsliding Scott County and now they WILL be the best team? Just thought someone was joking.....

I feel the same way. Awful confident prediction in the 11th region!

I think that Dunbar, Scott Co, LexCath, Henry Clay, Brian Station, LCA, Tates Creek, and Madison Central will all be better than Franklin Co., Franklins co. ending record might be better, because they do not play the schedules that these teams play, but i think Franklin co would lose to all of these teams. In the 11th, middle of the road team at best.

 

I understand that saying Franklin Co will be the best in the 11th is a far stretch in such a deep region; but how can you say that they will not be better than Tates Creek and Madison Central after Franklin Co beat them both, back to back, and both of these teams lose their top scorer and other valuable players. Franklin Co has everyone returning so I don't see how that part of your post can be true. Franklin Co should be a contender next year if everyone stays healthy and improves as expected. I know the kids on this team will work hard in the offseason.

I think they will make noise in the 11th, but at places like Catholic and Scott County even when they are rebuilding they are still darn good. 4th best team in the region.

Isn't Johnson a Senior at Dunbar?

Agreed on Madison Central. I didnt look that far into it. I will stick with my opinion on Tates Creek, however. They have the best freshman class in the state and they will develop tremendously in the off season. Just my opinion.

Scott County will have two all regional player Phares and Guyn! Plus 8th Grader Manning!

These are all great players. However they are pairs---meaning two. Catholic and Scott Co will struggle with depth next year and will have to have some young players step up. Both will be good teams but I don't see either being dominant in the 11th. Johnson is a senior for dunbar, but Hudson should be good next year.

There are so many good seniors graduating from the 11th this year. I think it is way to early to predict who things will shape up a year from now. These kids have at least 2 other seasons to play before Oct 15th (AAU and Summer ball). It will be interesting to see how all the young players develop and mesh into the remaining returning starters.

Phares and Gywun had a combined 24. Last time playing County Hicks and Connor Combined for 25 and Connor isn't even a big scorer for the Flyers, they also demolished those two in the rebounding stats.

I am hesitant to get into this one. Someone is putting Franklin County in the middle of the highway. But, they have the opportunity to be as good as any team in the 11th next year. Whether they will or won't depends on the same things all the other schools are doing...working hard in the off season and staying healthy. Also, I agree with Neutralbutbiased about the offense. At least some of the time pushing the ball up the floor, spreading and posting is something this team could do very well.

 

As far as Scott County sliding. Bryant Station must be sliding also then. It seems like a lot of people have been sliding when they play LexCath.
