Murder is a sin that I am sure you feel should be legislated against and so is stealing. Are you saying that you can only legislate against sin that is "victimless?"

I am not advocating the removal of all sin by law. I am simply saying that historically our society has done just that. But I would like a law against adultery where it is punishable in some manner. After all, isn't it breaking a contract, if you don't want to look at the moral aspect.

Our country is based upon the Judo Christian Law! I also agree with the adultery it is breaking a contract! I think in most cases though, the adulter gets his or her fair share, when the divorce attorney comes around!

The key here is to be smart. Stop the agressive fight and the resources that are wasted.

There are victims in each of these! Who is a victim with prostitution be legal, the gov't? The person making a profit? The person receiving a service?

Do you think that he’s really going to send his “Girls” to the local Health Department to have them checked out every month or so? Do you really think that anyone will pay taxes? There is absolutely no way that the “World’s Oldest Profession” can be legislated. The only reason it works in some parts of Nevada is because they are located in the middle of the desert. Not too many places to hide!

Leo is right. If they are not going to follow the law and run prostitution services now, why would they all of a sudden become law abiding people and pay taxes.

 

Also, if I am right, they are supposed to be paying taxes, in the form of income taxes on their income from prostitution, presently. Wonder if they are?

Prostitution is not victimless (possibility of passing on disease to other partners as one example) and sin is sin. I agree if you can't legislate morality within society, why have it. Prostitution should be illegal it is a blight on families.
