Mason County Duo Added To East Squad For State All-Star Game

Featured Replies

Richie Cox who is headed to Harvard and Wylie Brace who is headed to Kentucky Christian University will play at Papa John's Stadium for the East Squad. Congrats to both these fine players and to Coach Buchanan.:thumb:

Do you have a list of players????

Where is their all-state de Jackson Tolle was he already named to the team ? He was by far Mason counties best player and was probably the best player in the region other than Dustin May,surley coach Buchanan who is all about his players has Jackson on the team, it was bad that the Ledger did not have him as defensive player of the year.Jackson just does not get the credit he deserves he is a great young man and deseveres better than what he has gotten ,can someone please tell me if he is already on the team.

Is the 1st year for this game?

Is the 1st year for this game?

In the past 30 years, this is the first. This game replaces the KY-TN All Star game. I know back in the 70's and before there was an East-West game.

Well I like it!!!! I went to college with a bunch of guys that had In-State All Star games and wondered why we didn't in KY. IMO it gives twice as many kids the experience that will last a life time!

I see no alternate list on the link Danny Weddles blog said that there was a alternate list that the kids were on , was Jackson on the alternate list or was this the good old boy system where coachs in the association get together and name who they want.If there was a committee then Jackson was named to the 2nd team all-state defense ,I do think Cox and Brace are very worthy of this but ,leaving out one of the top players in the state voted on by the coachs makes no sense there are not 33 better players in the eastern part of the state than Jackson Tolle.

As far as I know there is a committee that chooses the team and alternates. Coach Buchanan had nothing to do with it. Other than sending in the names at the beginning to be voted on. I'm pretty sure he sent in 4 names and Jackson was definitelyy one of those. Jackson is a very good player and an outstanding young man. Best in the region????? I don't know about that but an outstanding player on a team that had several D-I players, IMO. I don't think you should get on here and talk down about Jackson's teammates or his coach. Especially Brace and Cox, these are 2 good players as well as young men that will represent Mason County well. I wonder if Jackson would have been chosen to play what Richie and Wylie's supporter's response would have been ???????????????????? Knowing these 2 young men it probably would have been congrats and show out.
