Was having a disscussion today with some friends and was just wondering why the girls tournament has been held at the Middle School instead of the High School. Have been to both locations and it seems the High School has more parking and more seating. Also being the newer facility why they didn't have the tournament there? Just curious, if any poster's form the Campbell Co. area has any answers, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Campbell Middle School is actually a bigger gym and can hold more people. Don't have any specifics though.

Thanks for the info sportsfan76, the new gym just looks and feels bigger. Why didn't they build a bigger gyn when they built the school?

The gym at CC Middle School is an exceptional gym - It is still one of the finest gyms in Northern Ky even though it is a Middle School. Holds a large crowd and is wide on the sidelines for fan traffic, and tables such as were set up for the girls tournament.

The middle school was Campbell Co. HS until it moved to the new building at Claryville in 1995. What is now the middle school used to seat 3300, but they put in new seating a few years ago and it now holds about 2700, I think. The new gym seats about 1500, it just barely seats the entire student body during pep rallies.

The reason they did not build it bigger, tightwads and poor decision making.

It is a nice gym, but man is it LOUD!:creepy: Acoustics in the middle school gym are AWFUL!

Actually the state has something to do w/the mandating of gym size!
